The Sociopsychiatric Survey on the Suicidal Impulsiveness and Attempt Rate of Korean Adolescent Student

Abstract
This psychiatric interview and questionnaire survey of 3,269 middle, high school and college adolescents was taken, in June 1977, to examine their suicidal impulsive and attempt rate.
The purpose of this study is to prevent them from suiciding. The results were summarized as follows:
1. According to analysis by sex, the male to female suicidal attempt ratio has been 1. 7 to 1, suicidal impulsiveness ratio, 1 to 1. 2.
2. According to analysis by age, early(4.8 percent) middle(l0.5 percent) and late(10.6 percent) suggested that suicidal attempt rate increased in proportion to one¢¥s age.
3. By residential area, higher sucidal attempt rate of rural than urban (urban 8. 3 percent and rural 9.7 percent) was contrary to different countries.
4. By moral conduct classified by teacher, student with problems had higher suicidal impulsiveness and attempt rate than the other.
